Robbie Stephenson is a freelance photographer with over a decade of experience in the industry specialising in sport, event, PR, and commercial photography.
In the early part of his career, Robbie worked with content agency JMPUK, photographing for a wide range of clients. This included being club photographer at various sports teams such as EFL clubs Bristol City and Bristol Rovers and Gallagher Premiership Clubs, Exeter Chiefs, Bristol Bears, Harlequins, Worcester Warriors and Wasps as well as with The RFU’s international pathway sides. Along side this, Robbie worked with many commercial businesses such as Sky Bet, Opro, Turmec and Epic Risk Management. Robbie also has a lot of experience shooting editorially at many major sporting events, including the ICC Cricket World Cup, The UEFA Champions League Final, The European Champions Cup Final and many Premier League, EFL and International fixtures.
During the summer of 2023, Robbie began work as an independent freelancer and took up the role as Club Photographer of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, photographing the club’s senior men’s home fixtures, as well as events held at the Seat Unique Stadium. He also began freelancing for the Press Association (PA), covering a variety of sporting fixtures. On top of this Robbie also works with brands and businesses covering PR, Event and commercial work, including Live Nation UK, Pepsico, Gaucho and Cygnet Gin.
In 2024 Robbie moved to Sydney, Australia, to embark on new challenges and is currently freelancing for a variety of new clients, including Getty Images, the Australian Associated Press (AAP) and Sportograf. He has also continued his connection with PA, covering the 2025/26 Ashes series and the 2025 British and Irish Lions tour of Australia. Currently based in North Sydney, Robbie is available to work within the Sydney Metropolitan area, New South Wales and across Australia.
